How to Make a Dry Leaf Place Setting

Dress up your Thanksgiving table this year with some autumn inspired homemade place setting cards made out of dry leaves. With just a few steps, this simple and budget-friendly project is sure to add that extra festive touch to your holiday meal.

  • Start off by collecting leaves from outside in a variety of colors reds, oranges and yellows.
  • To dry the leaves, begin by laying down a sheet of newsprint followed by a couple paper towels.
  • Arrange the leaves on the paper towels and then place another sheet of newsprint on top.
  • Put the layered stack in a phone book and store in a dry, ventilated spot for several days.
  • Once the leaves are dry, use a gel-ink pen to write the guest’ names on them. White or Metallic shades work the best.
