How to Make a Dry Leaf Place Setting
By Michaela Kerr
Dress up your Thanksgiving table this year with some autumn
inspired homemade place setting cards
made out of dry leaves. With just a few steps, this simple and budget-friendly project is sure
to add that extra festive touch to your holiday meal.
·
- Start off by collecting leaves from outside in a variety of colors reds, oranges and yellows.
- To dry the leaves, begin by laying down a sheet of newsprint followed by a couple paper towels.
- Arrange the leaves on the paper towels and then place another sheet of newsprint on top.
- Put the layered stack in a phone book and store in a dry, ventilated spot for several days.
-
Once the leaves are dry, use a gel-ink pen to
write the guest’ names on them. White or Metallic shades work the best.
