Fruit Roll-ups in the Parking Lot

Remember when we posted about baking cookies in your car? Here's something else you can try on your dashboard - dried fruit (who knew they were going to be such handy easy-bake ovens?).

How to Make Dried Fruit in Your Car:

1. Just take any fruit, clean it and slice it up first
2. Take a box or tray and place the fruit slices flat so it can dry properly
3. Leave on the dashboard of your car for a day or two until the fruit fully dries.

Woman bakes cookies in her car!

Jenn Black is on a mission to save energy in a very delicious way. She's turning her car into a cookie baking oven!  According to Jenn you can just follow any good cookie recipe, leave the dough on a baking sheet on your dashboard, then in about 2 1/2 hours you've got fully baked cookies to share with friends and coworkers.



Note: you must check doneness manually. The sugar in the car-baked cookies doesn't carmelize and brown like they do in the oven.
